The Education Unit of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana (EPCG), stands as a vital pillar of the Church’s mission, entrusted with nurturing minds and shaping hearts through education. Scope of Operations
The EPCG Education Unit oversees a wide network of institutions across Ghana, serving thousands of students at multiple levels:
Basic Education: Supervises over 700 kindergartens, primary schools, and junior high schools, laying strong foundations for literacy and moral development.
Second Cycle Education: Manages six Senior High Schools (SHS) and several technical/vocational institutions, equipping young people with academic knowledge and practical skills for nation-building.

Supervision & Quality Control
Conducts routine inspections, offers counseling, and ensures high academic standards for teachers and students.
Human Resource Management
Collaborates with the GES to safeguard teacher welfare, organize professional development seminars, and build the capacity of school heads.
Policy Implementation
Aligns EPCG’s educational mission with national policies while upholding Christian discipline and moral character training.
Events & Outreach
Hosts EPCG Education Week featuring quiz competitions, spelling bees, PowerPoint marathons, and professional development days.
Literacy Promotion
Fosters church participation in literacy work and liaises with non-formal education institutions to strengthen community literacy initiatives.
Teacher-Minister Support
Advises on transfers and postings, ensuring smooth engagement with the GES.
Governance & Representation
Secures church presence on Boards of Governors of Presbyterian SHSs and interprets government policy for effective implementation.
Monitoring & Evaluation
Reviews institutional reports, promotes effective teaching and learning, and submits summaries to the General Assembly.
Resource Mobilization
Facilitates fundraising and resource generation for school development.
Advisory Role
