Biography
Inducted: January 2025 at Elorm Parish

Dr. Salomey Praise Otami-Abutiate is the current Presbyter Executive of the General Assembly of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana (EPCG). She was inducted into office in January 2025 at the Elorm Parish, marking a historic moment as the second woman to hold this esteemed position in the history of the EPCG.

A native of Avatime-Biakpa in the Ho West District, Dr. Otami-Abutiate brings to her role a wealth of experience in education, leadership, and ecclesiastical service.

Her international academic credentials include a Master's degree in Child Development from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, USA, and a Bachelor's degree in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Education, Winneba. She is also a product of the former Ada Training College and holds a Diploma in Ewe from the School of Ghana Languages, Ajumako.

  • Representing the laity on the Standing Committee of the General Assembly

  • Providing leadership in strategic planning and policy implementation
